All three MTB routes will be mainly off road trails. This will mean that for the first time the short route really is an MTB route. There will not be a road only route this year
All routes will feature off road trails like the Ridgeway and Railway path
Long 25 miles but also including a few tough hills and a tricky sections
Medium 20 Miles
Short 11 Miles
Individual Entry £15 family and kids rates available
There will be one common refreshment point for the Long and Medium routes and that will be when then return to Barbury Castle at the midpoint of their rides. We are unlikely to be able to provide hot tea/coffee so it may be an idea to bring your own for after the ride.
Riders are requested to cycle to the event if they can to reduce load on the Barbury Castle car park, but groups with Children should probably consider driving due to the tough hill up to the car park (and fast descent on the way home). A suggested route to ride is from Coate Water via Route 45 of the National Cycle Network, Turning Right at The Three Trees Farm Shop in Chiseldon and following our Cycle Route signs
The event will be way marked and Marshalled as in previous years but this year more onus will be on the riders to be safe and take the correct routes.
